Space Saving Shoe Storage

That little space at the bottom of the closet seems a bit too small for most people's collection of shoes.

Thanks to some creative folks, ideas abound about how and where to put that ever growing collection of footwear.

Some shoes are works of art. They can be released from their dark prison of a closet and in return for their freedom,  bring a bit of design elegance and cheerful color to any living space.

Designs include creative elements like towel racks, staircases, baskets on wheels and even wall moulding that allow storage on walls.

For those who can't or won't drill holes in a wall, different shelving options, stand alone storage like China hutches or Ikea book shelves may be a good solution.
